As of late 2016, Young Living Essential Oils increased their Essential Rewards Points top earn rate to 25%. (Previously, we described what the Essential Rewards Program is.)

Recall that Essential Rewards Points can be redeemed according to Young Living’s terms.
For those who are building a home-based business as a Young Living Independent Distributor, when you place your order for 100 PV in product — so that you can earn both bonuses and commissions — you’ll get 25 points at the top earn rate. (Talk with your tax advisor about being able to deduct 100 PV worth of product per month as a necessary expense in order to earn commissions.)
Imagine needing to buy 100 PV in product to be eligible to be paid and then getting 25 points back! It’s just like getting free money.
These are the rates of earning Essential Reward Points as of 11/1/2016:
- 1–3 months: 10 percent of each Essential Rewards order;
- 4–24 months: 20 percent of each Essential Rewards order; and
- 25+ months: 25 percent of each Essential Rewards order.
This table shows how many Essential Rewards Points you can earn based on the length of time you’ve been on the Essential Rewards Program and the size of your Essential Rewards order during a given month:

What’s more, when you place an order of a certain size during a month, you may be eligible to earn free products based on the monthly promotion. The promotion varies — and therefore the free products vary — each month.
As of late 2016, Young Living began offering free promotional products at the 100 PV level, the lowest level we’ve ever seen. Also, we have seen special promotions in the past at the 400 PV level.
And some promotional products are available exclusively to Essential Rewards members.
