Thoughtful Thursday: If you’re working in a minimum wage fast food job, you’ll be doing yourself a favor if you look for (or create) other work real fast. The June 1, 2015 article linked below says that
– McDonald’s is installing “self-serve kiosks” in some stores and
– Taco Bell is using an “order-ahead app”,
both of which seem to be pulling in more sales than human clerks!
So, assume you want a job (or to start your own business) where you will never be at risk for downsizing, layoffs or being replaced by a machine. What should you look for?
