Motivated Monday: Have employment conditions improved since a 2011 article detailed a Craigslist job ad that stated “Must be currently employed or recently unemployed”? I haven’t heard that employment options in the USA have improved all that much in the last 4 years or so. Those who are dependent upon an employer for work will always be at the mercy of the employer for income.
Contrast that with those who create their own jobs. While there may be seasonal variations in income in any work-at-home or work-from-home situation, a person who is in an “evergreen” type business — one that will always be wanted no matter what the economy — may better be able to handle ups and downs than the person constantly worried about being fired or laid off.
