Why Was July 11 Chosen For This Holiday?
In honor of D. Gary Young, the father of the modern-day essential oil movement, Young Living Essential Oils has named his birthday — July 11 — as International Essential Oils Day.
Furthermore, Young Living is donating 5 percent of today’s global sales to the Young Living Academy (July 11, 2018).
The Young Living Academy in Chongon, Ecuador is the flagship project of the D. Gary Young Young Living Foundation.
What is International Essential Oils Day?
One resource says that this holiday “recognizes and highlights the benefits that Essential Oils provide to humanity. From non toxic fragrances to whole wellness support, the benefits of these plant based oils are second to none.”*
How Can You Celebrate?
You can celebrate International Essential Oils Day by:
- Recognizing that essential oils are the lifeblood of the plants and trees from which they have come from — and that they can achieve truly amazing things in your life.
- Helping to keep the essential oil movement alive by
- planting a tree;
- trying a new essential oil (single or blend); or
- sharing your favorite essential oil with a friend.
