The Three R’s to Set Priorities

What are the three R’s to set priorities?

Come grow with us!
Come grow with us!

Vicki recently received an email from Maxwell Leadership, part of which she will reformat slightly…

=====

Leadership ability … starts with priorities.

Prioritizing the right things gives you more time to invest in yourself, into others, and into making strides toward becoming a better leader.

To maximize his time, [leadership guru John Maxwell] created three R’s to set his priorities on track toward his desired results:

1. What is required of me?

2. What gives me the greatest return?

3. What is the most rewarding to me?

=====

OK, if I may, I want to relate this to Young Living.

The First of The Three R’s to Set Priorities

First, I personally believe what is written here:

“[God’s] divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

— 2 Peter 1:3

The word “life” in that verse means:

“Life, both of physical (present) and of spiritual (particularly future) existence.”

When we look at how God created the earth and then man, I think that He specifically made plants with essential oils to support our body systems regarding many of our physical, emotional, mental, and other needs.

So, when we help to connect people with natural products for well-being — such as with Young Living’s proven products — I think we are helping them in more ways than one.

To me, that is rewarding internally in my soul and spirit.

It can also be rewarding financially.

The Second of The Three R’s to Set Priorities

Second, when we consider what gives the greatest return, one has to weigh what kind of return we’re seeking.

People with different personality types will be motivated in different ways.

I have pointed out in the past that Young Living meets the needs of all 4 basic personality types.

We all have to eat and take care of ourselves and our loved ones — and we only have so many hours in a day — so it makes sense to apply the “greatest return” principle to one’s occupation or side hustle.

Many people have discovered the rewards — financially and in building relationships with like-minded people — that comes from building a Young Living business.

Third, there are many ways to build a Young Living business.

I am currently learning a way to build my YL business in a way that is simple and duplicatable.

So, what is “required” boils down to asking 4 people a day to “take a look” at something that has positively impacted one’s life.

That’s it!

Of course, there is an engagement process, so I won’t spill the beans just now.

If this intrigues you, please contact Vicki and say, “Tell me more!”
